Christ-life Healing for Body and Soul By Warren Litzman
INTRODUCTION Christ-life Healing for Body and Soul is different than any book you may have ever read. In fact, this book may very well be the most important book you will ever read. These bold statements are not simply to grab the attention of your carnal mind; rather, they are to shake loose any preconceived notions you may have about healing, faith and Christianity. This book contains the Father's purpose in healing His children at the point where they need it most, in their the minds. Reading this book renews the mind so that the existing faith, the Christ-faith that resides in every believer, will have a channel through which to flow. The Christ within the believer is the healer, for by His stripes we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). As you read this mind-renewing book, you will release His faith and His healing power. Because, you see, the key is the faith, the `faith of the Son of God" (Gal. 2:20), not faith generated through your self-effort. Healing of the mind is primary to healing of the body. Seeing Jesus as your only life will be the first step toward renewing your mind. This renewal will not happen in the first reading of this book. In fact, to get Christ's faith operating, it may be necessary to read this book many times. His Word is healing (Ps. 107:20). As His Word renews the mind, His healing flows out of the spirit, then to the mind, and then it is expressed through the body. This healing book places life-His life-right at your fingertips; for as a believer, your only life is in the Son, and you are a birthed child of God. In the Christ-life Fellowship, we have found that the good things in our lives, as well as the diseases, are often the result of mental thought patterns. I have no desire to change the good patterns, but the unhealthy thought patterns can be changed by the "renewing of your mind" with the Scriptures. We know that for every effect in our lives, a thought pattern precedes and maintains it. What a joy it is for a believer to discover that his mind does not have to conform to the world where sickness, fear, and death reign but he can be transformed by the renewing of his mind (Rom. 12:2). This transformed life is the Christ-life in operation. This issue of transforming the mind should not be confused with positive thinking or any other type of attempts to heal through self effort. Yet, even secular medicine recognizes that thought patterns of anger, criticism, and resentment can contribute to disease in the body and soul. For instance, anger has been said to influence the body to become fevered, inflamed and polluted. Criticism, indulged in long enough, can exacerbate diseases such as arthritis. Long held resentment eats and festers away in a person and could ultimately weaken the body's ability to withstand diseases such as cancer. How much easier it is to renew the mind so these diseases do not contribute to illness rather than to have to dig them out with a surgeon's knife. Only by reflecting the Christ within can a believer overcome these enemies in the mind. This book is written for those who want life the Christ-life and health. This material should be read over and over until the Christ-life message is firmly fixed in the mind. We believe you will automatically experience Christ-life healing as your mind is renewed daily. Finally, healing of the body is not the only healing you need. Seeing Jesus as your only life is more important than anything. And we know, now, that seeing Him as our all brings healing for mind and body. |
